These readers cared so much and I was really inspired to keep going.

I appreciated that so much, because I almost DNF’ed this book before I got those messages as I did with a different series a few months ago.

No one forced me to love the book or anything in it, as you said but so many kind and helpful people told me that my mind would change if I gave it some time. They in turn encouraged me to keep going, which was why I originally wanted to see this series through to the end.

My tumblr activity was mostly the same, some Carry On posts about the cover reveal for Any Way The Wind Blows.įirst, it gave other people the opportunity to find my posts. I purchased City of Bones on October 21 because I thought I might try to read the series again (I had tried in middle school but I wasn’t really that interested in reading), but I exchanged it because I realized I wasn’t really interested. I listened to an audiobook from October 21 - 22 2020 and another one from October 29 - November 2 2020. The overall book club consensus was that we were disappointed, I will not share the title of the book because I know other people like it so I wouldn’t want anyone who read this post to not read it because of my 4 person book club’s opinion, especially since I later figured out that the books that the rest of the book club members reacted the most favorably to were anything about queer princesses in fantasy settings. I started my first book for the book club on Octoand it became the first book I ever truly DNF’d on Novemafter realizing I didn’t want to finish it only a few chapters in. I listened to an audiobook October 4 - 5 2020. the Homo Sapiens Agenda on Jand Carry On (obviously) on July 9 2018, it is worth noting however that I don’t think I read Simon vs. The first audiobooks I purchased for myself were Simon vs. This sudden greater interest in RWRB can tracked back to me purchasing the book in audiobook form (still my favorite way to read a lot of the time and my absolute favorite way to reread books) as part of the beginning stages of my “omg audiobooks rule phase” which has yet to end. According to my purchase history however I bought Red, White & Royal Blue on June 1st 2019 (the book was released on and I am low key proud of myself for getting to call myself an OG fan cus of how early on I read it) and I remember mostly reading it in 1 day, not really thinking about it for a few months, and then starting to become insanely obsessed with it some time later, which explains why I didn’t post about the book until Novemwhen I reblogged some gorgeous fanart of the turkey scene (around the time non Carry On posts became more frequent, perhaps some correlation to my subconscious disappointment with Wayward Son).
